Course Overview
The Advanced Public Speaking for Adults – Large Group Cohort programme empowers speakers to elevate their public speaking skills and captivate audiences with confidence and charisma. While many people can speak in public, only a few can master the techniques that leave a lasting impact. This programme helps learners hone these skills through group-based activities, discussions and practice in a collaborative environment.
The programme applies the 4 Ps of Presentation – Plan, Prepare, Practise and Present – with an emphasis on persuasive messaging, audience engagement and advanced delivery techniques. Learners will refine their vocal variety, body language and storytelling skills to engage their audiences effectively.
Course Description
This course equips learners with advanced public speaking skills through collaborative learning and peer feedback. Learners will deepen their understanding of audience analysis, persuasive content creation and advanced speech structuring techniques, such as Monroe’s Motivated Sequence and problem-solution patterns.
Group-based activities and role-plays will provide opportunities to practise delivery and receive constructive feedback. Learners will also gain confidence in impromptu speaking and learn techniques to overcome nervousness and stay composed during high-stake presentations.
