Course Overview
The Basic English Programme for Kids (Ages 8–12) – Large Group Cohort is designed to introduce young learners to the foundational aspects of the English language. Through fun and interactive activities, learners will build essential vocabulary, develop conversational confidence and cultivate an interest in learning English.
In a large group environment, learners engage in group-based games, storytelling and role-plays that reinforce vocabulary and sentence structures. The focus is on building a solid language foundation that encourages curiosity and confidence in speaking.
Course Description
This programme introduces young learners to basic vocabulary and sentence structures through engaging and age-appropriate activities. Learners will practise forming complete sentences, understand the importance of non-verbal communication and build confidence through interactive conversations.
Key focus areas include:
- Engaging Vocabulary and Conversation Practice – Explore everyday vocabulary through interactive games and activities.
Introduction to Sentence Formation and Clarity – Learn to construct clear sentences with simple structures. - Non-Verbal Communication and Social Skills – Develop awareness of facial expressions, gestures and eye contact.
- Questioning and Conversation Techniques – Practise asking and answering relevant questions to build meaningful conversations.
- Listening, Reflection and Fluency Building – Strengthen listening skills and improve fluency through consistent practice.
Key Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, learners should be able to:
- Develop essential vocabulary and confidently use words related to familiar topics.
- Construct simple and clear sentences with improved articulation.
